Finding fresh seafood when you don’t live on the coast is hard. However, here in the LBK, there are several restaurants that go the extra mile to serve only the best in their restaurants. Check out the list below to experience the sea from the comfort of West Texas.

The West Table

Owned and operated by astound Chef Cameron West and his wife Rachel, The West Table uses fresh, local ingredients to fuel their seasonal menus. Located in Lubbock’s revitalized downtown, the duo’s goal has been to support local farmers, artists and musicians by featuring their talents in the lobby and in their food. The West Table not only provides local foods but fresh seafood selections sourced from the gulf like Crab Hushpuppies, Oysters and the Sea of Cortez Fluke, which is Pad Thai-Peanuts-Chili Oil-Scallions.

Dirk’s

Years after Chef West opened The West Table, he put a modern spin on an “old diner.” Therefore, he opened Dirk’s on 13th and Avenue Q in downtown to provide customers with a more health-conscious, locally sourced alternative, all the while, honoring his grandfather, Dirk West. Dirk was the former Lubbock mayor and Avalanche-Journal cartoonist that is known for his cartoons of Texas Tech’s Raider Red. Today, the diner walls are lined with dozens of original Dirk cartoons that feature Texas Tech, Raider Red and parodies of other Southwest Conference competitors. Just like The West Table, Dirk’s sells Oysters sourced from the gulf that are guaranteed to satisfy.

Las Brisas

Located just off of 114th and Quaker Avenue, Las Brisas features seafood that is flown in fresh three times a week. With selections such as Las Brisas Salmon, Blackened Salmon, Chilean Sea Bass and Lobster Pasta, there is a plethora of fresh seafood to satisfy your craving without leaving the comfort of West Texas.

La Diosa

La Diosa is a Spanish bistro that features classic cuisine like gazpacho and imported cheeses paired with wine from around the globe. Owner Sylvia McPherson’s Spanish spirit shines through in every dish and the atmosphere. With an extensive seafood selection including Besitos Jalapenos & Aurelia, La Diosa is the perfect place for a relaxing evening full of culture and McPherson wine.
