The Willows Event Center in Lubbock, Texas

Picking the perfect backdrop for your big day is not an easy decision. Coming from a former bride herself, I know just how much time and consideration will go into choosing your wedding venue.

Being a Lubbock local, I had no idea that hidden in the middle of town, right off 82nd and Milwaukee, is where you can find the stunning Willows Event Center. From the breathtaking garden, spacious reception hall and outdoor courtyard, this wedding space surpassed all my hopes and dreams for my big day!

Marrying a man from New York and knowing that his family was going to make the long trek to Texas, I wanted to make sure this was going to be an experience they would never forget, and the Willows team did not disappoint. Not only did they offer an extraordinary venue, but they also offered an experience. From start to finish, this team walked me through the seamless process of booking the venue. They met with me face-to-face to talk through details and coordinated every moment effortlessly. They took the stress off my shoulders and ensured that I was able to be fully present, taking in all the special moments. The entire team carried out this season of my life with such intentionality that I will forever be grateful for.

A few examples of how the Willow team cared so much for me as a bride were that minutes before I was about to walk down the aisle, I realized I had forgotten my veil! I shouted for my coordinator’s attention, and she sprinted to the bridal suite and back so that I had my veil just in time to walk down the aisle! I also remember I had a special request of wanting root beer floats at my wedding since that is my husband’s favorite dessert! Even though serving ice cream can be a little tricky with timing and making sure it does not melt, the banquet team took charge to ensure the service of the floats went without a hiccup!

Now I am proud to say that I am a part of the very team that gets to help carry out the same experience I was given on my wedding day. I work very closely with our chef and kitchen team to provide gourmet in-house catering for the bride, groom, and their guests. Alongside the kitchen team, I also work very closely with our banquet team. They supply all service needs, from event set-up and teardown to bartending, washing dishes, and accomplishing any need your guests might have. They aspire to cultivate a successful event and always go above and beyond for our couples.

When I put on my coordination shoes, I love that I can put myself back into the bride’s perspective. I love that I get to be with the bride and father moments before he gives away his little girl. I love that I get to fluff the bride’s train as she walks down the aisle to marry the love of her life. I know how special these moments are to our brides here at the Willows, and I am honored that I get to be a small part of their big day.
