Spring Sports in Lubbock, Texas

Spring sports season is here and the Visit Lubbock team is excited to host an array of events and tournaments. From basketball to Kungfu, Lubbock is thrilled to get back in the game this spring!

Lubbock is proud to host the National Junior College Athletic Association Division I Championship for the 13th year. From March 22 to 27, hundreds of athletes from across the region will meet to compete at the Rip Griffin Center.

USA Judo is hosting its Youth National Championships March 18- 19 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. This event will serve as trials for both Junior and Cadet Pan American/Oceania Championships as well as the U15 and U13 Pan American Championships. 

On March 17 – 19, flag football teams from Amarillo, Midland and Lubbock are coming together to compete in the All Star Classic at the Berl Huffman Athletic Complex.

On May 26 – 28 at the Civic Center, Lubbock Sports will host the USAWKF Team Trials for adult teams. Winners of the tournament will compete in the national championship competition. 

Teams from across West Texas are meeting to compete in the Buffalo Wild Wings Midseason Classic at venues throughout Lubbock including Berl Huffman Athletic Complex, Connie Mack Field, Frenship Youth Baseball Field, Lubbock Youth Sports Complex, and Mackenzie State Park on April 21 and 22.

Texas Fast Pitch is hosting their qualifier in Lubbock with teams from all over the state ages eight to 14 at the Lubbock Youth Sports Compklex on April 14 to 16.
