Delicious food and an in-house brewing company make this restaurant a staple in Lubbock. McPherson Cellars, an urban winery in the heart of the District, serves delicious, generational wine with a splash of history. Originally opened in April 1938, Cactus Theater was the very first neighborhood movie theatre. Movie goers of all ages frequented the theater’s satin seats for a night on the town! As the birthplace of Buddy Holly, Lubbock is home to the Buddy Holly Center, which houses many personal artifacts of the singer including his guitar, motorcycle and the infamous glasses.
