Whether you are looking to two step your night away to live music, eat and drink some of the finest local selections, or watch a show at an iconic theatre, the Depot District serves as the headquarters to Lubbock’s thriving nightlife and social scene.

La Diosa Cellars

901 17th Street

Fall in love with a taste of Spain at La Diosa Cellars. Be on the watch for fun events and live music while you drink and enjoy tasty traditional tapas. The atmosphere is captivating with the interior design full of unique artwork and decor that will have you never wanting to leave! Pro tip: order a pitcher (or two) of the sangria. You can thank us later.

Triple J Chophouse & Brew Co.

1807 Buddy Holly Avenue

Delicious food and an in-house brewing company make this restaurant a staple in Lubbock. Offering an authentic steakhouse atmosphere and live music at night, Triple J is a great place to go with friends or a date night out! Start your meal off with the Choppy Bob Nachos and a house-brewed beer – our favorite is the Raider Red – and enjoy the Ancho Grilled Filet Mignon for your entrée! This restaurant will have you craving more.

McPhearson Cellars

1615 Texas Avenue

McPherson Cellars, an urban winery in the heart of the District, serves delicious, generational wine with a splash of history. Nestled in an old Coca-Cola bottling plant, the legacy of Texas wine lives on in each glass of sangiovese. Book your tasting at McPherson Cellars to experience the taste of the Texas High Plains!

Cactus Theatre

1812 Buddy Holly Avenue

Originally opened in April 1938, Cactus Theater was the very first neighborhood movie theatre. Movie goers of all ages frequented the theater’s satin seats for a night on the town! Today, Cactus Theater is a thriving Lubbock venue for local talent and touring acts. See where history meets contemporary by purchasing your tickets for a performance at the Cactus Theater today.

Buddy Holly Center

1801 Crickets Avenue

As the birthplace of Buddy Holly, Lubbock is home to the Buddy Holly Center, which houses many personal artifacts of the singer including his guitar, motorcycle and the infamous glasses. This state-of-the-art facility features galleries for local art and a world-class museum, making it a popular destination visited by people from all over the world.

The Blue Light

1806 Buddy Holly Avenue

This local bar has a stage that has been played on by countless legends in the Texas country music scene. While this is primarily a country music bar, patrons have the opportunity to enjoy folk or rock music here as well. Mark your calendars for Monday nights when local talent take the spotlight for singer-songwriter nights!

1707 Texas Avenue

For a taste of EDM music and a rave-style experience, Kongs is top of the list. This clubbing experience is filled with loud music and a dark room lit up by neon colors and strobe lights. Kongs is a popular spot among the college students.

The Library Bar

1701 Texas Avenue

The Library is a fun sports bar that typically brings in a younger crowd. Whether you are into dancing, showing off your skills at the pool table or sitting around with friends, you will have your choice here at The Library.

The Garden

1801 Buddy Holly Avenue #5136

This outdoor patio bar is the perfect place to sit around a table with friends (furry ones, too!)  and catch up with some drinks. At this local favorite, food trucks line the space, making for an ideal date night to try something new!
