It’s February and love is in the air in Lubbock, Texas! February 14th is right around the corner and the “Hub City” is preparing for this adored holiday in a unique way. Grab your loved one and celebrate this holiday by attending an unconventional Valentine’s Day activity listed below. 

Candy & Ink: Printmaking Workshop

Saturday, February 8 | 1:00 – 5:00pm

Helen DeVitt Jones Print Studio: 602 Ave. J

Get inky at the Helen Devitt Jones Print Studio just in time for Valentine’s Day! You and your date can make cards, pencil and makeup bags, t-shirts or tote bags at the Charles Adams Studio Project (CASP) in the heart of downtown Lubbock. Whether you choose to bring your own items or purchase studio materials, a plethora of designs created by local artists are available to print. No experience is required for this come-and-go event.

Adventure Park: Father Daughter Dance

Saturday, February 8 | 4:30 – 6:00pm or 6:30 – 8:00pm

Sweep your little princess off her feet and take her on a date to Adventure Park for a magical evening of dinner, dancing, photos and games. All ages are welcome to attend! Make sure to call ahead to buy your ticket, because tickets will not be sold at the door.

Llano Estacado: Galentine’s Day

Tuesday, February 11 | 6:00 – 8:00pm

Let’s go! GNO! Your ticket to this Galentine’s Day event includes a glass of wine perfectly paired with chocolate, a trendy hair service courtesy of Blo Blow Dry Bar and a cookie decorating class provided by The Cakery. You and your gals will also be able to grab dinner at the Cafe Venture food truck. And, of course, there will be amazing specials on wine so you can stock up before Valentine’s Day. Tickets are $30 per person.

Ghost Valentine’s Dinner/Movie Party

Your ticket includes a full three-course meal featuring a decadent cheese plate, chicken saltimbocca served with potato “pottery” and a warm, flaky apple-pear galette. My Bloody Valentine

Don’t let love bite you! Lubbock’s Halloween favorite, Nightmare on 19th Street, is open for Valentine’s weekend to present My Bloody Valentine. This scary event is sure to make your date hold onto you extra tight! Tickets include access to all four attractions and are $25 per person.
