The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra presents SOUND! Light, sound and color collide for an evening of music and performance that pushes artistry boundaries. 

Lubbock residents and visitors are invited to enjoy local food trucks during their lunch hour, between 11 a.m. – 2 p.m in the Civic Center parking lot.

In his second appearance at the Cactus Theater, James McMurtry is bringing American rock and folk music to this intimate singer-songwriter show. Texas native Jonny Burke will open the show.

A visit to Lubbock during the first of the month is not complete without stopping by the First Friday Art Trail (FFAT) hosted by LHUCA. FFAT is a free, self-guided art tour held in the Lubbock Cultural District in partnership with various art centers, museums, galleries, and businesses located downtown. While there, enjoy live music, food trucks, and art from local, national, and international artists.

Koe Wetzel is bringing his outlaw country sound back to Cook’s Garage. Doors open at 4 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.

After finding TikTok fame, this dynamic trio is back to perform your favorite rock, pop, and country songs. Proceeds from this show benefit the National Veterans Wellness & Healing Center in Angel Fire, New Mexico. 

This adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women will be performed October 7 and 9. Set during the American Civil War, this musical follows the story of Jo March and her sisters and family.

The Lubbock Gun & Blade Show is taking place October 8 – 9 at the Lubbock Memorial Civic Center. During the show, attendees can sell, trade, and buy guns, knives, holsters and more. 

Texas Tech UIL is hosting a One-Act Play Director’s Workshop led by Amy Jordan and BK Goodman. The workshop will take place at the MCM Elegante Hotel throughout the weekend.
