Tom & Bingo’s Bar-B-Q restaurant will celebrate 75 years in business with an official presentation of the Texas Historical Commission’s Texas Treasure Business Award (TTBA) by State Representative Carl H. Tepper.

July 2 – 502 Jam Night  

Join Two Docs Brewing Co. for 502 Jam Night every Sunday, 6 – 9 p.m.!

Start the Independence Day Festivities with Pat Green & Casey Donahew at 4th on Broadway’s Country Kickoff Bash! Special guest Chris Colston will also perform. 

Celebrate the 4th on Broadway at Mackenzie Park. Events include a parade, music, kid’s activities, eating contests, an evening concert, fireworks & more! For more details, including parking and event directions, visit the 4th on Broadway website.

From noon to 1 p.m. each Wednesday this summer, take a lunch break and head downtown to the Lubbock County Courthouse for a concert under the gazebo.  

The Book of Will finds an unforgettable true story of love, loss and laughter and sheds new light on a man you may think you know. This show will take place from July 6th through July 29th. 

July 7 – First Friday Art Trail 

A visit to Lubbock during the first of the month is only complete with stopping by the First Friday Art Trail (FFAT) hosted by LHUCA. FFAT is a free, self-guided art tour held in the Lubbock Cultural District in partnership with various art centers, museums, galleries, and downtown businesses. While there, enjoy live music, food trucks, and art from local, national, and international artists.

July 8 – Caprock Jazz Festival 

The Caprock Jazz Festival welcomes Soul Patrol and special guests Joy Harris and The Source. This festival will feature performances by Tom Braxton, Blake Aaron and Aubrey Logan. Join the audience at the Texas Tech Museum for a night of dynamic jazz and an optional pre-show dinner. 

Experience a family-friendly weekend of buying, selling and trading various collectibles like sports cards, memorabilia, Pokemon, Funko Pops, Hot Wheels and more with hourly door prizes at the MCM Elegante Hotel and Suites on July 8th & 9th. 

Don’t miss the intimate Mike and the Moonpies – The Solo & Steel Tour: A Night with Mike and Zach at the historic Cactus Theater. Experience their acoustic performance of Moonpies’ songs in their first appearance at the Cactus. 

This powerful night of elite Texas singer-songwriters features Jamie Lin Wilson in her Cactus debut!

July 13 – Un(wine)d With The Arts  

Join LHUCA on Thursday’s following First Friday Art Trail for a glass of wine and a stroll through the galleries featuring artist meet & greets. LHUCA members will receive a free glass of wine!

In honor of National French Fry Day, WOB Bar & Kitchen Lubbock is challenging all French Fry fanatics to compete in the restaurant’s Fry Eating Competition, where participants will race to see who can devour 2 pounds of french fries! The event will take place at World of Beer at 7 p.m.

Don’t miss the high-energy ZZ Top tribute band from Phoenix, Arizona, embodying the look, sound and showmanship of the original legends with their top-flight costumes, bluesy-growling vocals, hand-made custom guitars, and lighted smokestack mic stands, creating an authentic live concert experience.

​​Shop from some of the best artisans in the 806! There will be food trucks and lots of unique vendors to shop from. 

July 15 – Artful Family Hours 

On every third Saturday of the month, join LHUCA for Artful Family Hours! Bring your whole family for a kid-friendly art activity in the galleries based on one of the current exhibitions. Free and open to the public!

July 19 – Hamilton  

Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, R&B and Broadway, Hamilton has taken the story of American founding father Alexander Hamilton and created a revolutionary moment in theater, a musical that has had a profound impact on culture, politics and education. The show will take place at the Buddy Holly Hall from July 19-30.

For the first time, Lubbock is hosting The Basketball Tournament (TBT), where 64 teams compete for a $1 million prize. Air Raiders, the Texas Tech alumni team, will serve as the host team for the eight-team Lubbock Regional on July 19-23. 

Randy and Wade are on the big stage at Cook’s Garage for their Hold My Beer and Watch This Tour. 

July 20 – Build a Bouquet 

Bradley Gaines, Director of Florals for United Supermarkets, will teach about flowers and help you create your own bouquet. Limited space is available, so secure your spot by registering now for a ticket price of $30.

Witness the touring tribute show Kenny Metcalf as Elton: The Early Years, celebrating the extraordinary music and iconic presence of the legendary Elton John. 

July 22 – Sunny Sweeney  

Sunny Sweeney, a dynamic and genre-bending singer-songwriter, will perform at the Cactus Theater, showcasing her highly acclaimed fifth studio album “Married Alone.”

The Lubbock Gun and Blade Show, owned by Kim and Monty Sansom of Silver Spur Trade Shows, is a thriving marketplace offering diverse firearms, knives, swords, accessories, hunting gear, collectibles and more for buying, selling, and trading. This event takes place on July 22nd and 23rd. 

Experience the ultimate summer night at Water Rampage! Starting at 6:30 p.m., you can enjoy a screening of The Goonies while floating in the pool.

The phenomenally talented guitar-slinger returns to the Cactus. Don’t miss this incredible night!

Luke Bryan will take the stage on July 27 at the United Supermarkets Arena, supported by Jackson Dean, Ashley Cooke and Tyler Braden.

Be there for the performance of Pure Prairie League, one of the most influential soft rock groups of all time.

July 29 – Landmark After-Dark Hike 

Landmark After Dark Night Hikes are nocturnal adventures through the Yellow House Draw. This monthly event begins 30 mins before sunset and lasts from 75 to 90 mins. This night hike is free and open to all ages. 

Experience the live performance of Texas country artist Kyle Park and his full band at the Cactus Theater as he takes you on a heartfelt musical journey influenced by classic country legends.

The 2023 Dude Perfect Panda-Monium Tour, featuring YouTube sensations Dude Perfect — Tyler Toney, Cody Jones, Garrett Hilbert and twins Coby and Cory Cotton — will bring their engaging and action-packed show to Lubbock, which has been recently nominated for Pollstar Family Event Tour of the Year.
