Halloween is underway in Lubbock with festive activities, fright experiences and more waiting just around the corner. Whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or looking for a place to show off your costume, there’s a Halloween celebration waiting for you.

From jump scares in a haunted house to a family-friendly walk in the park, Lubbock is gearing up to celebrate this season. Take a look below at some of the holiday events and celebrations that are sure to be a “ghoul” of a time:

15th Annual Pumpkin Trail | 46th Street and Avenue U

Carved jack-o-lanterns line the path and light the way for the annual pumpkin trail sponsored by the City of Lubbock’s Park & Recreation team. This free family-friendly event is taking place from Oct. 26 – 29 in the Lubbock Memorial Arboretum in Clapp Park. Wheelchair and stroller access is readily available.

Nightmare on 19th Street | 602 E. 19th Street

Prepare for a spine-chilling spectacle that will raise the hair on the back of your neck. This four-stop haunted journey is laid out over a 1.25 mile track worth of scares. Make your way through the Blood Moon Manor, KarnEvil, Castle Dominus and Krampus 3D, a new kind of spectacle with visual effects. Regular events are happening Thursday to Sunday and Halloween with a special “survival” event is taking place Nov. 3 and 4.

Adventure Park | 5110 29th Street

Fright Fest is happening in a trifecta at Adventure Park. Every day through the rest of the month is Spooktober! Full of spooky sights and frightful fun, these events include a round of golf, a testing trial in the laser maze and a $5 game card. Rounding out the fright sights are the Family Boo Bash and Park in the Dark events. These are both taking place on Oct. 28. The Boo Bash is fun for the whole family with live music, games and a costume contest at 9 p.m. Park in the Dark is an 18+ event with a silent disco and a two-hour fun pass.

HorrOddity Expo | 402 N Inler

Get ready for a spooky extravaganza! The HorrOddity Expo will have over 75 vendors, trick or treating, a costume contest, a rocky horror dance party and a car show. Witness all-day entertainment that will leave you screaming for more with a freak show, belly dancers, fire performers and local comedians. The event starts at 2 p.m. and goes until 10 p.m.

English Newsom Haunted Cellars | 408 E Woodrow Road

Hauntings are talked about more during the month of October more than any other time of the year. With the adrenaline of horror movies and haunted houses, sometimes it’s good to slow down with a trip down to the cellar. Wrap up your month on Oct. 28 with a trip to the haunted cellar.

At’l Do Farms | 6323 FM 1294

A stop at the corn maze by At’l Do Farms is a can’t-miss for the fall season. Open every day of the week except for Monday, visitors wander through the corn maze and enjoy the hayride out to the pumpkin patch with ease. Discounted tickets are offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The final day for the season is Nov. 4.
