A unique part of Lubbock’s culture is having two colleges in town that bring people from all over to our city. This takes shape in endless sporting events with rowdy, loyal fans, and can be seen throughout Lubbock as both students and alumni rep their alma mater with pride. As classes resume and our favorite teams take to the field or court, it’s essential to be decked out in school colors. The Matador is the official game day retailer of Texas Tech Athletics and has all the Texas Tech merch you could dream of. Fans have the option of visiting one of the two store locations, stop by The Matador tents at the stadium, or purchase items from trailer and pop-up locations at various events. The Matador offers quality customer service and has unique Tech designs that you won’t find anywhere else. Red Raider Outfitters opened their doors to Tech fans in 1975 and has been equipped with all the Texas Tech University (TTU) needs every year since. This long-time fan favorite is an alumni-owned shop with multiple locations throughout the city including across the street from campus on University Avenue, on Broadway Street, in South Plains Mall and on Slide Road. With creative and innovative designs for both yourself and loved ones, you will find the perfect gift to send the matador spirit home. Fun fact: In the early 90s, Red Raider Outfitters coined the phrase, “Wreck ‘Em Tech” which later was adopted by the university.

For more trendy game day options, stop by local boutiques like Piper and T.C. Elli’s. With an array of crop tops, clear bags and TTU jewelry, be the best dressed fan in the student section. 

5601 19th Street

Chap Store is the one-stop-shop for all things blue and red, and is located on Lubbock Christian University’s (LCU) campus inside the Student Union Building. Not only is this the campus bookstore, but it is also known as the hub of Chap apparel. From gifts, flags, decor, and school supplies, students and alumni will find a gift that reminds them of their beloved LCU community. Go Chaps!
