Foodie Favorites: Stacked

Whether you are looking for a hearty breakfast or a light lunch, Stacked should be at the top of your list! Open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., this newly opened restaurant caters to the early risers as well as those who may enjoy taking a late lunch. With your choice between all-day breakfast or a plethora of delicious lunch-time options, you are sure to cure whatever your craving may be. 

For the sweet and savory alike, try the Stacked signature chicken and waffles. Fried chicken drizzled with peach syrup and topped with fruit compliments the fluffy, sweet waffles it lays on. Chicken and waffles has always been a personal favorite of mine. Adding peaches on top really sealed the deal for me! This rendition of the southern staple is a hit you won’t want to miss. 

If the combination of chicken and maple doesn’t do it for you, try the Stacked pancakes! Make your choice between different types of pancakes, including gluten-free. Yes, you read that right! Stacked offers a gluten-free option for those with a preference. There are so many flavors to choose from, so why not try them all in the mini stacked pancake flight? Miniature chocolate, maple, and the original house pancakes will leave you feeling satisfied. My sweet tooth was raving over the chocolate pancakes. I highly recommend! I personally believe that breakfast food should be served for every meal, and if you agree you are in luck, as Stacked serves breakfast all day.

Stacked not only blows customers away with the breakfast menu, but the lunch menu as well! From hearty meals to lighter options, lunch will become your favorite part of the day. I am a sucker for a salad with all the works and Stacked’s light summer salad definitely has what any greens lover is looking for. With a delicious blend of refreshing, zesty citrus and tangy vinaigrette, the added chicken is a satiating addition to the fresh mixed blend. 

For something heavier, the “Hub City Cheesesteak” is my go-to. I am not kidding when I tell you this is the best cheesesteak I have ever had. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. On a sesame seed hoagie bun, the brisket is topped with melted cheddar cheese, onions and a jalapeno for that after-taste sting. If there is one thing you can count on Lubbock, Texas doing right, it is brisket. The “Hub City’s” take on the cheesesteak sandwich is something you never knew you needed.
