The nice folks at Disney World may have it wrong. For me, the happiest place on Earth is in front of a live band, the outdoors, with delicious food in one hand and an ice-cold beverage in the other.

The Garden provides all of that in an amazing atmosphere, making it my new happy place. Owners Mark and Jessica Martinez had a vision in mind to create a relaxed and comfortable outdoor bar focused on live music and other events. After opening in July of 2017, they have remained true to their goal. Their events calendar continues to grow and showcase local musicians.

Live music isn’t the only thing local you’ll find when stopping by The Garden. They offer a full-service bar with a variety of Texas beer and wine. Most importantly, don’t miss the local food truck, Hoagie Rollers, serving a revolving menu of gourmet hoagies and bratwurst specialties.

Once you’ve grabbed a frosty beverage and something to satisfy your appetite, hang around to play patio games like giant JENGA, beer pong, Connect 4 and corn hole. Catch a game or a movie screening on their 20-foot, high definition screen.

Did I mention that your dog is invited? The Garden is Lubbock’s first dog-friendly bar, complete with complementary treats for your canine companion! With an average of 263 days of sunshine in Lubbock, there are plenty of opportunities to stop by The Garden and find your new happy place.
