As temperatures near the 110s, nothing sounds more inviting than a cannonball into the crisp, blue pool at Lubbock Water Rampage. The West Texas sun has never felt better while splashing your way through the wave pool, effortlessly floating down a lazy river or sliding down a chilled water slide. Sit back and sip on that daiquiri as we take it from here. The only thing you will need is sunscreen!
With three themed pools to choose from – Pirates Cove, Caribbean Adventure and Lost World – swimmers will be endlessly entertained. Pirates… er… swimmers will enjoy a walk down the plank on one of the two 400-foot waterslides. If one doesn’t scream “ships ahoy” as they catapult down the windy tube, did they really visit the Pirates Cove? Other attractions include a playground for the pirates-in-training and pavilions for your next event.
For those who are interested in hosting a party, pavilions to rent for a birthday or celebration are $55-$75. There is a minimum of 15 pirates and discount rates are available. Cake, cupcakes and a cooler of water are allowed! For all other food-related needs, catering is available through the snack bar.
For the perfect date or family night, catch the waves at the Caribbean Adventure big wave and baby pool! Each month this summer, movie nights feature big-screen names including Aladin (2019) and Jumanji: The Next Level in the big wave pool from 7 to 10 p.m. Be sure to grab some movie treats at Captain Morgan’s Rum Point before the show begins!
If you are looking for a more relaxing experience, float down the Lazy River into the Lost World pool! This is a great option for parents who want to wind down while keeping an eye on the kiddos at The Pirate Village.
Visitors are welcome daily from 12 to 6 p.m. Admission is $25 for entry with a tube and $18.50 after 4 p.m. The park is located at 6602 Marsha Sharp Freeway. For more information, visit lubbockwaterrampage.com
