Boasting more live music venues per capita than any other city in Texas, Lubbock sets the stages for live music! Whether you prefer to rock out with a craft beer or savor High Plains wine with jazz, Lubbock’s local talent performs nearly every night of the week. Check below for a few of the local hotspots to catch live music.

Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences

Don’t miss your chance to visit this gorgeous, new performance art hall in the Arts District for an unforgettable experience! Here, Broadway productions and headlining performances take the stage in the 2,500 seat, NC-15 rated main theater, the Helen DeVitt Jones Theater.

Cactus Theater

As host to some of the best live music in West Texas, the stage of the Cactus Theater hosts both traditional and unique sounds. Once a movie theater in the 1930s, the Cactus is home to concerts throughout the year.

High Noon at the Lubbock County Courthouse

Hosted by the City of Lubbock, High Noon takes place every Wednesday at noon from June to August at the Lubbock County Courthouse Gazebo. With food trucks and plenty of green space, listen to local talent and enjoy an hour downtown during your lunch break! 

Lubbock Moonlight Musicals

Be inspired throughout the summer with fun and exciting musicals at the Lubbock Moonlight Musicals’ outdoor amphitheater located in Mackenzie Park. The group also hosts shows year-round at the Christine DeVitt Icehouse and Lubbock Memorial Civic Center theaters. 

The Blue Light Live

As the live music capital of West Texas, you’ll want to arrive and stay late at this vibrant venue. Visit the stage that William Clark Green, Josh Abbott and Flatland Cavalry call home.

The Garden

Lone Star Event Center

With a diverse lineup of concerts, Lone Star Event Center is one the largest indoor and outdoor amphitheaters in West Texas. Regardless of the performance, music fans can expect a good show and lively crowd!
