Visit Lubbock is here to show you as much of the West Texas charm as possible through planning an efficient itinerary to suit your stay.  So, what are you waiting for? Seal the deal and start thinking about which part of the South Plains culture you’re most excited to explore.

Book the Flights

No matter where you’re coming from, deciding when you want to arrive is the first step in planning your stay. With three major airlines servicing Lubbock, you’ll have plenty of options to choose from. Choose a flight from Southwest, American or United, and you’re on your way!

A one-stop from major airports including Dallas, Phoenix, Las Vegas, and Denver, Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport (LBB) is your final destination. If you are traveling from inside the Lone Star State, direct flights from Austin and Houston are also available.

The airport is a short, five-minute drive from downtown, making it an affordable and timely drive to catch a flight or relax after a day of traveling. Upon arriving, choose which type of transportation fits the budget and schedule you’re following! Depending on your accommodations, airport shuttles may be a free amenity at your disposal. Rental cars are also available to take you around the city. The third option to consider is utilizing a ride-share service like Uber or Lyft. No matter how you get around, Lubbock boasts an average commute time of 20 minutes from any point in the city, making sure you are on time for every item on your itinerary.

When it’s time to depart Hub City, an easy journey home is ahead. Lubbock is known for its easy-to-navigate airport with two terminals and short security lines, meaning travelers will be able to make their return flight with ease.
