The final bell of the year has rung and school is out! And, while this is a kid’s favorite time of year, it can be hard to know what to do to keep them busy. From adventures for all ages to learning excursions to keep their brain working during summer vacation, we have the complete guide to family fun below!

Adventure Park

Bring the entire family and enjoy a day of big smiles! This 20-acre park has bumper boats, zip lining, an arcade and so much more. This is a fool-proof fun day for all ages!

Science Spectrum

Who says learning has to stop when school is out? This unique, hands-on museum features interactive science exhibits. Bring the kids and experience Lubbock’s only public aquarium and catch an educational film in the Omni Theater.

Water Rampage

Escape from the climbing temperatures at this local favorite water park. Enjoy attractions like the wave pool, lazy river, and water slides. Explore three worlds of adventure including the Pirates Cove, Caribbean Adventure, and Future World! Order from the snack shack and sip on refreshing adult beverages at Captain Morgan’s Rum Point.

Altitude Trampoline Park

Getting wiggles out can be particularly difficult during the summer days. Luckily, Lubbock has the solution at Altitude Trampoline Park. With 20,000 square feet of wall-to-wall trampolines, each member of the family will be jumping with joy!

Prairie Dog Town

Not only is this Lubbock staple adorned with cute prairie dogs to watch, it also has educational purposes! Established in the early 1930’s, this is the first protected prairie dog colony of its kind. Take the kids to this loved park to teach them how prairie dogs have been part of the Texas ecosystem for millions of years.

Silent Wings Museum

See one of the few fully restored World War II gliders in existence at this impressive museum. The Silent Wings Museum also features a C-47 airplane and a multimedia theater.

The National Ranching Heritage Center

This beloved museum on Texas Tech’s campus features seven galleries, 38 life-size structures that have been moved to the site from locations throughout the southwest.

This historical venue will take you and your guests back to the days of the traditional cowboy.
