After a night on the town exploring all Hub City has to offer, there is nothing like a quick snack to cure a craving on the way home. While chain restaurants are an easy go-to after dark, check out these local restaurants and bars for a traditional late-night Lubbock experience. Whether you’re craving a burger, barbecue or a whole plate of fries, we have a spot for you! Check out our favorite Lubbock late-night bites below:

Big E’s BBQ | Closes 4 a.m. | 1802 Buddy Holly Ave

This BBQ stop is known for its late-night hours and is home to classic barbecued meats and wraps that will leave you craving more. In Downtown Lubbock, these mouth-watering, smoked meats are offered Thursday from 7 p.m. to 4 a.m., Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 4 a.m. and Saturday from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m. Don’t miss this late-night bite when you’re out and about on the weekends!

Midnight Cravings | 9:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. | 6524 Slide Rd. 

Midnight Cravings is the can’t-miss food truck night of the month! Hosted at Cardinal’s Sports Center, everything you could want is in one place, from live music to vendors and various foods from up to 16 food trucks. Midnight Cravings favorites include the staple items at Nirvana Burger, the Korean Corn Dogs at Gogogiri, the dessert grilled cheese offerings at Bubba & Brey’s and more! Raider Burrito | Closes 3 a.m. | 2102 19th St. 

A Texas Tech student staple, this drive-thru serves 30 different kinds of burritos for under five dollars each. This fresh, authentic Mexican food is so good you won’t just want it late at night. You’ll be back by morning to try the breakfast plates and burritos. 

The Lantern Tavern | Closes 2 a.m. | 3502 Slide Rd. 

This tavern features a pub-style atmosphere with a wide selection of cocktails, craft beers and a full menu. With a wide variety of appetizers that scream late-night bite, the extensive menu features something that everyone will enjoy. Try the Pretzel Bites, served with sides of queso cheese and spicy mustard or mix it up with the Lantern Tatchos, tater tots topped with chicken or beef, white queso, onions and jalapeños. Yum!

Flippers Tavern | Closes 12 a.m. | 1406 Avenue Q. 

Head over to Flippers Tavern for an extensive list of local favorites. Lubbock’s only pinball tavern serving gourmet hotdogs and craft brews, if you are looking for a late-night bite that is also entertaining, this tavern has it all, from Nintendo games behind the bar to old-fashioned pinball tables. 

Savage Tavern | Closes 2 a.m. | 1625 University Ave. 

This prime location is close to Texas Tech University Campus and offers late-night craving foods like deep-fried Totino’s pizza rolls, chicken nuggets and easily the best mega cheese sticks the 806 offers. While they also have a fabulous dinner menu with daily specials, the build-your-own fries are a one-of-a-kind find.
