Lattes & tacos & beers, oh my! Go on an “Oz”-some adventure into the Lubbock local lifestyle with these 12 must-try spots along 34th Street. 

The drive heading east toward I-27 Frontage Rd between Jimenez Tortilleria y Taqueria and Christaki’s Burgers is jam-packed with 3.5 miles of good eats, shops and entertainment! From African music to ski gear to banana splits and everything in between, 34th Street is home to some of the best hole-in-the-wall establishments Lubbock has to offer.

Jimenez Tortilleria y Taqueria

“If it’s not messy, is it even worth it?” Jimenez Tortilleria y Taqueria specializes in homemade corn tortillas, burritos, tacos, lunch plates and baked goods. Holly Hop Ice Cream Shop

Vizo’s

This Texas Tech Alumni-run shop designs one-of-a-kind, quality hats made by hand. The man behind the hats, Jared Coffelt and his wife Kesli have expanded the shop to include a larger gallery space. Hill Barbecue and Yellow House Coffee have joined forces for an unlikely but remarkable pairing. Cafe all week and BBQ joint on Friday and Saturday, this establishment is serving two of Lubbock’s most cherished items. Home of the brisket tamale and chocolate cold brew latte, Hill Barbecue is a must try.

Tom & Bingos Hickory Pit Bar-B-Que
