When most people think of the Hub City, music legends, tumbleweeds and West Texas hospitality come to mind. But what many don’t know about is the antiquing opportunities as vast as the High Plains. Don’t Visit Lubbock without stepping into the charming past with a trip to these antique shops.

Antiqueology | 11703 Indiana Ave.

A unique blend of vintage trinkets and new finds, Antiqueology offers an extensive collection with pieces dating back to historic France. From delicately woven tapestry rugs to rusted gas pumps and refined works of art, adding statement pieces to your home collection is easy with a visit to this Lubbock gem.

A high-end antique store, the flickering candles, music selection and perfectly staged items create a cozy and welcoming environment that transports you back in time. Statement lamps, unique kitchen items, typewriters, decorative signs, worn books and more, stop by to find a piece that speaks to you.

You know those vases, fine china pieces, figurines and casserole dishes that you’re really hoping Grandma passes down to you? You can find all of those things and more at Grand Central Station Antiques.

This bowling alley turned antique store has items sourced from thirty vendors. With a wide array of lockers, china huts, cabinets and display cases and a few booths dedicated entirely to kitchen utensils, this store makes a great stop for those looking to add staple items to their home.

If you’re a Red Raider, Grand Central Station Antiques needs to be on your list. Vintage Texas Tech signs, apparel, blankets and quilts line the entryway railing as you make your way into the main shopping area.

A Beautiful Mess | 2202 Ave. Q

As soon as you open the doors to A Beautiful Mess, it feels as though you’re stepping into a 19th century English cottage. With the majority of the furniture pieces sourced from Europe, the vibe fits!

This antique store is now known for its unique, themed tablescapes and booths, and the owner does an incredible job of showcasing how to utilize and decorate her finds with a seasonal approach. A Beautiful mess is easily at the top of our list for its use of local vendors and its antique furniture selection. If you’re in the market, stop by!

Don’t leave without grabbing a yummy souvenir. To the right of the registrar, a display hut is filled to the brim with gourmet goodies by a local business, Kelle B Jammin’. Shop the small batch jams and more like the Spicy Jalapeno Syrup, Homemade Biscuit Mix and Cheezy Crack Cracker Mix.

No matter where you’re staying in your visit to the Hub City, there’s likely an antique store nearby. Explore more of what Lubbock’s antique scene has to offer by dropping in a few more places. Check out our full list of must-visit stores below:
