This laid-back environment is the perfect spot to bring the family or a group of friends for a casual evening away from home. While The Range is primarily known for it’s driving range, anyone can enjoy the scenery, enjoy some food and drinks, listen to music or play washers. You don’t have to play golf to love this place!
I caught up with William Jarvis, general manager at The Range, to find out a little more about what makes this place so special:
What’s The Range’s history?
The Range has actually been open for around 20 years. It’s always been a driving range, but in the last three and a half years, it’s become a “hangout” spot in Lubbock.
Why should Lubbockites and visitors come by The Range?
It’s the perfect spot to meet everyone’s needs. We’re the only place in Lubbock where you can come and try out our driving range (lit at night), putting green, washer pits, Crusty’s pizza, some cold beer and occasional live music. You don’t have to be a golf lover to hang out with us.
What changes have been made in the last few years at The Range?
We are constantly updating our facility to meet the needs of our customers. Recently, we’ve added more hitting spots at the driving range, moved and upgraded our club house/pro shop (we now sell golf clubs) and made the putting green twice its original size.
Do you offer any weekly specials?
Wednesday night we have the washer tournaments, and Thursday we offer a bucket of beer and jumbo bucket of golf balls for $12. It’s definitely the most popular special we have.
Now, is time to bring your family or friends out for a night of West Texas fun. The summer is calling you out to The Range!
