Halloween is here and happening! Get your costumes ready and prepare yourself for a weekend full of spook-tacular events in the 806. Consider this your crystal ball view into your Halloween weekend with our full list of happenings for your October 31 weekend!

Lubbock Mayor’s Marathon

There will be no boo-hoo-ing about running on Halloween day for the nearly 1,000 participants of the Mayor’s Marathon. The course begins and ends near The Buddy Holly Center and will take the runners through the canyon lake system, Texas Tech campus, and through residential areas in the city. I can’t think of anything more frightening than running 26.2 miles! Following the race, athletes and their cheering fans are invited to attend the family-fun post-celebration and ndulge in local food trucks and more. They’ve earned it!

Nightmare on 19th

Enter if you dare! Don’t miss your chance this spooky weekend to stop by Lubbock’s iconic haunted attraction, Nightmare on 19th Street. With all of the jump scares and thrills you can handle, you will not leave without a scream or two.

Booze & Boo’s at Manhattan 9

Whiskey, gin, vodka, oh my! On October 28 from 4 p.m. to October 31 at 2 a.m, Manhattan 9 will be hosting a Booze and Boos event. Who said tick-or-treating had to be candy? At M9, costumes are a must, as there will be a costume contest winner for both Friday and Saturday announced at 12:30 a.m. What’s better than grabbing your boo and some booze while dressed in your favorite Halloween attire? This unique speak-easy is the perfect vibe for your mysterious Halloween aesthetic.

Howl-o-ween at Bier Haus

Are you wanting to go out this Halloween but can’t stand to let your pup miss the fun? Head over to Bier Haus for Howl-o-ween on Thursday, October 28 at 7 p.m. on the patio. Get creative with the cutest dog costumes for a chance to win a gift card to Bier Haus in the costume contest! Let’s see those fur babies dressed in their best.

Haha Halloween at Two Docs Brewing Co.

Are you more into comedy than horror? Don’t worry, Two Docs has your back this Halloween weekend with a holiday special by Laugh Hub City. Enter in their costume contest for prizes such as Two Docs gift cards, tickets to Nightmare on 19th or a candy bucket! Laugh your night away while sipping on festive fall brews. Taking place on October 29 at Two Docs from 9:30 p.m. to 12 a.m.

Fall under the spell of the 806 this weekend. The scariest part is the thought of missing all these events… Share your “Hub City” Halloween festivities using #LiveLoveLubbock on social.
