Lubbock, Texas Brewery Crawl

In 2024, Lubbock became a designated Brew City in the state of Texas! A craft beer destination, Lubbock celebrates the art of the brew.

With seven craft breweries within city limits, Lubbock’s beer scene is on the rise. From classic ales to sips inspired by local flavors, visitors can customize a craft brew experience to their palate. Whether you are a craft beer fiend or beginning to dabble in the art, visiting each brewery is a great way to experience Lubbock’s up-and-coming craft brew scene and refine your taste.

This local brewery started as a hobby but has become so much more. Today, its brews are a staple in the Cultural District! An art in and of itself, no matter what you order, you can’t go wrong. We recommend you try the Buddy Hoppy IPA, Two Docs Bock, and Chilton Gose. 

Now it’s time to try the Top Brewpub in the U.S. named by USA Today! The Brewery LBK crafts seasonal brews as well as staples to try year-round such as the New England Style IPA, Lieutenant Dan, and a Belgian Tripel, Kerb Crawler. Located down the street from the Cultural District inside the Pioneer Pocket Hotel, stop in to see what’s brewing!

Lubbock’s first craft brewery, Triple J’s serves a Golden Ale called the White Gold and an American Amber-style ale called the Raider Red that are legends in the Hub City brewing scene. While you’re there, enjoy live music and a good brew, and order the Choppy Bob Nachos to pair with your pint.

Located in Cactus Alley, Mano Negra is the first nano brewery in Lubbock. Inspired by the owner, Danille Badillo’s, Puerto Rican background, guests can enjoy a cozy atmosphere while sipping on beers ranging from Lupe’s Peak Golden Ale to an Australian Sparkling Ale. Mano Negra also features Sangrias and wine cocktails for those looking for something a little sweeter. 

Featured as one of the Best New Breweries of 2022 by Hop Culture Magazine, Good Line is located in Tech Terrace. A hybrid production brewery and taproom focused on high-quality beers, enjoy a pint of the crowd’s favorite Catastrophe Girlfriend, which is a Berliner Weisse with Raspberry. 

A small hyper-local microbrewery located about 20 minutes from the heart of Lubbock, guests enjoy a friendly space at Plains Brew Co. While here, try the Imperial Cherry Stout. Open on Fridays from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., those looking to enjoy Plains Brew Co. beer can also pick up a six-pack at a local Lubbock grocery store!
