As they say “everything is bigger in Texas,” but not every event is a large affair. If you’re planning a meeting, dinner, cocktail party or any other small event for approximately 50 people, we chose six venues for you to consider in Hub City.

Former 1927 furniture store, The Watson Building is now a premier venue in downtown Lubbock. Complete with original hardwood floors, decorative trim, charming decorations, upscale bathrooms and a large kitchen, the building is an elegant backdrop to any occasion. The spacious main room accommodates 15 to 20 tables, offering much space for board dinners, VIP receptions and off-site luncheons.

With tin ceiling tiles, polished hardwood floors and unique two-story layout, step back in time at The Baker Building. Featuring over 13,000 square feet and in-house catering services, this is the perfect venue for receptions and wedding ceremonies. Given its ideal location in downtown Lubbock, the Baker Building offers timeless beauty to your next banquet, party or event.

Make Lubbock’s thriving art scene part of your next event at Charles Adams Gallery. This small-group venue accommodates up to 100 guests. With movable walls and the ability to make the space indoor and outdoor, this is a great location for dinner parties and receptions. Tables and chairs are available for rent, and events must be professionally catered. The gallery is only available for private events during evening hours.

Located south of Lubbock, Social House has modern amenities with farmhouse charm creating a space for corporate meetings or other small events. The main room features two suspended projectors and screens available for rent, and two garage-style doors to expand the space. Social House works with The Crowded Table to provide upscale dining for in-house events.

The National Ranching Heritage Center is a 27-acre site dedicated to preserving the history of ranching. This venue has two event spaces, each catering to different needs. The climate-controlled, 1,600-square-foot Anderson Room features audio-visual technology for meetings, presentations or small gatherings. The Pitchfork Pavilion is a 2,000-square-foot space with wood-paneled walls and vaulted ceilings best suited to dinners and receptions.

*The National Ranching Heritage Center facilities may only be used for university and public education, research and entertainment.
