English Newsom Cellars
Step up your meeting game and host your next event over a glass of award-winning vino! At English Newsom Cellars, which is locally owned and operated, you’ll experience an elegant and unique event location in the South Plains. The winery grounds and barrel room can offer a relaxed wine lifestyle atmosphere or an upscale setting. Only minutes from both Texas Tech University and the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport, English Newsom Cellar’s location is convenient. Come visit the newly renovated tasting room where friendly wine tenders are happy to serve and educate guests on their award-winning wines. From corporate events and meetings, to bridal showers and private parties, this multi-functional winery is the perfect setting.
American Windmill Museum
The American Windmill Museum is not only internationally recognized as the place to visit for observing the largest collection of windmills in their natural setting, it serves as the premier educational facility where the heritage of windmills is taught, seen and heard. With its West Texas essence and rustic atmosphere, this venue is perfect for any meeting or special event.
The United Commons Patio is over 6,000 square feet and can host up to 300 guests, while the covered patio area of the museum’s main building is often rented out for special events such as weddings, company parties, family and class reunions. In addition, the Christine Devitt Classroom is designed for smaller business meetings, seminars or luncheons with seating up to 40 people.
Red Barn Retreat and Quilting Center
Located in a serene country atmosphere just 10 miles southwest of Lubbock, the Red Barn Retreat & Quilting Center offers adequate space for events of all kinds. Here, you’ll find the best of both worlds: five lovely acres of well-groomed, quiet country surroundings, yet close enough to the city for ease of access. From corporate retreats and church events, to weddings and company Christmas parties, the Event Barn can accommodate groups up to 175 guests. In addition, they offer delicious catering services for all retreats and events hosted on site.
4ORE! Golf
Tee up to execute the perfect meeting when you book your event at one of Lubbock’s hottest attractions! Rain or shine, day or night, 4ORE! Golf can accommodate a variety of group sizes throughout their spacious venue — in one of their many climate-controlled tee boxes or one of the versatile event spaces. Meeting rooms can be set up in rounds, classrooms, u-shape, theater and cocktail/reception, and can accommodate large or small gatherings. Entertain corporate clients and colleagues in a very non-corporate setting, as 4ORE! Golf’s all-inclusive packages include game play, food, drinks and a dedicated staff to make sure everything runs smoothly.
Fibermax Center for Discovery
At the Fibermax Center for Discovery, you’ll find yourself amongst interactive exhibits and historical displays dating back to the pioneering years of agriculture. The museum houses two meeting spaces that are ideal for large or small events. The Plains Cotton Growers Conference Center can hold up to 300 people, and the Alton Brazell Exhibit Hall can hold up to 60 people. Each space includes tables and chairs as well as audio/visual equipment. This popular “Hub City” museum is the perfect space to host events of any size while giving attendees a taste of Lubbock’s agriculture history.
As we are all so thankful for the modern technology of virtual meetings that will most likely continue to play a crucial role in the future of meetings and conferences, we know that nothing compares to the real, face-to-face connections, brainstorming and engagement. Meeting planners and attendees can rest easy knowing that Lubbock’s hotels, restaurants and meeting facilities have your safety and comfort level top-of-mind. So, set your sights on experiencing a real meeting and having real experiences again, and the possibilities of what lies ahead when you plan a meeting in the “Hub City”.
