Rain or shine the First Friday Art Trail (FFAT) is a free experience for art connoisseurs and foodies alike! Whether you want to check out critically acclaimed artwork or grab a bite for dinner with friends, FFAT is sure to be a great time.

Getting Around
An easy and accessible way to get around the First Friday Art Trail is by the trolley system that runs from 6:15-9:15 each event.

The trolley stops at:

Stop 1: Crosswalk between Buddy Holly Hall and the Civic Center; and off Ave K near the post office (two stops)

Stop 2: 1103 Main Street near Rock•Paper•Shears Hair Studio and Gallery

Stop 3: 1801 Crickets Ave near Buddy Holly Center

Stop 4: 1812 Texas Ave near Bentley Arrow
The trolley is free for anyone attending FFAT, making it an ideal mode of transportation for retirees and those looking for a convenient way to get around. Monthly updates on stops can be found here https://lhuca.org/ffat/.

What to Expect
Attendance at the trail and viewing the beautiful artwork is free, but if you wish to indulge in a local food truck or buy a piece of artwork we advise you to bring your wallet.

Regarding the dress code, attendees wear a wide range of clothing from business attire to more casual outfits. Since FFAT is a predominantly outside art experience, keeping the weather in mind when planning an outfit is encouraged.

Note: this event is dog friendly, although not every participating location may have a spot for your pup (i.e. indoor dining).

Art on Display
FFAT hosts local artists, musicians, vendors, and food trucks and is ever-changing from month to month. A unique feature is the opportunity to have an interactive experience with artists at their exhibits. You can learn more about the process and inspiration behind the artwork that is on display by the artist! Some artists live and work around the cultural district as part of the CASP live/work studio. CASP is a unique opportunity where artists can apply for and are granted a studio apartment that doubles as a workplace in return for their participation in FFAT.

Don’t Miss
From the Buddy Holly Center to Two Docs Brewing Co., the trail is lined with a variety of venues to entertain. This event is a favorite for visitors and locals alike. The best way to understand the excitement around FFAT is to experience it firsthand!
