‘Sleigh’ this holiday season with can’t-miss activities and events happening only in Lubbock, Texas. 

MareBear Christmas Tree Farm is one of the region’s most popular tree farms. The farm is known for its family-friendly atmosphere where visitors hand-pick live Christmas trees. Be sure to visit early in the season to ensure the perfect tree for your home. Trees are $10 a foot and measuring tapes and saws are available if needed! Add Christmas tree hunting to your list of holiday traditions this year!

Alamo Drafthouse’s holiday screenings are a festive highlight for movie lovers, offering themed screenings. Attend an interactive movie party to rewatch modern classics with props, special activities and themed drinks. Join holiday trivia nights and test your movie knowledge for a night filled with fun. Try the seasonal food and beverages, including Grown-Up Milk and Cookies offering a variety of spiked winter drinks. 

This annual holiday tradition brings cheer to the community through a parade of holiday lights, intricate floats and live performances. This year’s theme “Vintage Christmas” will wow audiences with new floats, tractors, horses, a marching band, Raider Red, the Coca-Cola polar bear and of course, Santa Claus! This event is a collaboration of organizations across Lubbock, coming together to spread holiday cheer. 

Join the English Newsom Cellars for its annual Holiday Sip & Shop on November 9th. Take this opportunity to shop, eat and drink locally. Join in on the fun and sample English Newsom’s new wines while shopping for all your holiday needs. With food by family-owned and operated Heart and Soul Cuisine, you’ll leave this event with a full belly and heart!

Drive through a winter wonderland of lights and create unforgettable memories with your family and friends at the Lubbock Light Park! This spectacular drive-through experience features hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights and stunning displays synchronized to your favorite Christmas music. Open Monday to Thursday from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM and Friday to Sunday from 5:30 PM to 11:00 PM, this enchanting event invites visitors of all ages to soak in the festive atmosphere from the comfort of their vehicles. Grab some hot cocoa and enjoy a magical evening filled with dazzling sights and holiday cheer!

Celebrate the holiday season with free carriage rides at Kingsgate, available from Black Friday Weekend through Christmas Eve! Perfect for families and friends, these charming rides will take you through the beautifully decorated Kingsgate North and South. Pickup is in front of Malouf’s on the South side and FedEx on the North side. Enjoy the festive atmosphere from 3 PM to 7 PM while snuggled under cozy blankets, creating magical holiday memories!
