As the Lubbock air begins to cool and we approach the winter months, nothing sounds more comforting or delicious than a hearty glass of local craft beer. Luckily for local brew lovers, Lubbock’s up-and-coming craft beer scene boasts a plethora of breweries with their own unique twists throughout the city. Take a look below for the complete list of what’s brewing in Lubbock!

Triple J Chophouse & Brew Co.

Not only is this a delicious brew pub, the atmosphere in Triple J’s is Texas to the core. Texan or not, you will feel right at home surrounded by the unique decorations and a cozy western feel. On tap, you will find local favorite brews like Raider Red, Liquid Sunshine, Windmill Wheat!  We recommend ordering a plate of the Choppy Bob Nachos to pair with your drinks for a uniquely tex-mex experience!

Mano Negra Brewing Co.

Located in Cactus Alley, Mano Negra Brewing Co. is Lubbock’s first mico-brewery of its kind. Originally from Puerto Rico, brewmaster Daniel Badillo has found more than a community in the “Hub City.” Bringing his expertise and culture with him, Badillo has fostered a unique experience for beer fiends to try. The unique menu and Mano Negra will have you wanting to try every ale listed. Pro tip: Order a glass of the eclectic and refreshing house sangria. The refreshing taste cannot be beat!

The Brewery LBK

Located on the ground level of Lubbock’s Historic Pioneer Building, The Brewery LBK has created a hotspot for all to enjoy a glass of award-winning beer and catch up with friends on the patio or in the taproom. The Brewery was recently named the No. 1 Brewpub in the nation by USA Today in 2021. For those looking to explore outside of their comfort zone, try the Unemployed Astronaut, which is a hard lemonade made with mango, orange, and pineapple flavors. It’s even better it sounds, if that is possible! The tangy flavors will take you back to you childhood summers spent sipping lemonade stand Tang. Be sure to raise a glass and cheers to Buddy Holly with a picture showcasing the mural on the wall!

Two Docs Brewing Co.

The brewmasters at Two Docs Brewing Co., appropriately housed in Lubbock’s thriving Cultural District, live life with the motto ‘Beer is Art.’ As masters of their craft, Two Docs showcases tasty hops, some of which pay homage to Lubbock’s favorite son, Buddy Holly. Invite your loved ones, grab the leash and your furry friends to hangout on the lively patio. Enjoy live music, local art, food trucks and good conversation all with a brew in hand.
