The facility will celebrate their 10 year anniversary this March, and in those past 10 years, they’ve seen 20,000 guests. Whether they experienced the team-building high ropes course, a peaceful get-together with colleagues or a serene wedding, guests always leave in awe.
Here’s a quick preview of each venue located at Spirit Ranch:
The large, climate-controlled Pavilion is the perfect space for gatherings of up to 200 people, whether it’s a convention reception or wedding reception. The Pavilion is enclosed by expansive windows overlooking the large, scenic meadow and the Blackwater Draw. In addition, the facility features a raised ceiling and warm wood flooring. Rest assured, guests get an outdoorsy atmosphere with all the comforts of a well-lighted, climate-controlled building. Just steps outside the Pavilion, guests can stroll across the rustic, wooden footbridge, and they might find a few new friends – beautiful peacocks that roam the property. The scenic space surrounding the Pavilion is perfect for breaks and activities alike. The Pavilion measures 40 feet by 80 feet and provides plenty of room for tables and chairs in many configurations. Ample parking is readily available, adjacent to the building.
The rustic, charming Adobe Center offers three different spaces for groups from 40 to 250 people. The two-room, climate-controlled Adobe Center and adjacent outdoor patio can be utilized individually or together, to create a unique setting for your meeting. With a rugged beamed ceiling, adobe walls and kiva fireplaces, the Rio Vista Room seats up to 120 guests, while the more intimate Peacock Room seats up to 40. Both rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking water, peacocks and a large patio area. The paved patio is the perfect place for guests to relax and unwind. Along with the adjacent Road House Bar, the patio can comfortably accommodate up to 130 guests. The Adobe Center and patio areas can be combined for a total seating capacity of 250, across the three separate spaces. This facility is ideal for a group who wants room to meet together, as well as the space to break up into smaller groups.
For groups of up to 50, who prefer a more intimate and private space, the Canyon House is ideal. This cozy facility is tucked back in the southwest corner of the Spirit Ranch property under a canopy of towering trees. The rustic Canyon House welcomes guests with green lawns leading to a large, old-fashioned, screened-in porch. Surrounded by the serene Spirit Ranch meadows, Canyon House features two separate meeting areas inside and is perfect for meeting and breaking, in a single, private space. Including a small kitchenette/bar area, one gathering space is furnished “living-room style,” with a large leather sofa, coffee table and comfy chairs – a perfect space for taking breaks in between sessions. Walk through a set of French doors, and you’re immediately inside the larger Escondido Room. With a large stone fireplace, this room has an intimate feel, with all the space of a large boardroom.
The Spirit House is a modern but intimate, one-bedroom country cottage. The 900-square-foot, furnished ranch house has a living space with comfortable sofas and chairs for hosting a small group of up to eight guests. The large, shady deck overlooking the Blackwater Draw is a great place to relax during breaks and enjoy the scenery.
Aside from these four venues, Spirit Ranch offers team and leadership development unlike any other venue in Lubbock. Groups are encouraged to take on the low and high ropes courses with professionally trained staff, which are offered in either an 8- or 4-hour session. Groups can also take advantage of Spirit Ranch’s Horsepower Equine Assisted Learning program. Equine Assisted Learning is an experiential learning process in which horses are the medium to facilitate the achievement of your team’s goal. Experiential, goal-oriented activities are utilized to target beliefs, habits and behavioral responses. Through group processing, participants gain greater personal insight about themselves and how they interact as a group to accomplish goals. Challenges will be identified and conquered, creating unparalleled team unity.
