It is always exciting seeing new business in town. Every time you visit you are sure to find fresh places to hang out in the “Hub City.” This month’s additions make for the perfect day trip filled with shopping, fun and a new place to stay.

Gold Stripe Coffee Roasters

Start your day with ethically sourced, locally roasted, real good coffee. The fellas at Gold Stripe have been roasting and catering their beans for the past five years, but now you can sit down with them at their new brick and mortar, located in the eclectic Cactus Alley Courtyard. (Location: 2610 Salem Ave. #5)

The Library

One of the hottest spots in The Depot Entertainment District is back and now 100 percent Red Raider-owned and operated. Come out for a drink, stay for Skee-Ball, trivia competitions and a fun, professional atmosphere. Make sure to stop by for the official Hub City on Tap after-party. (Location: 1701 Texas Ave.)

J. Crew Mercantile

The West End is continuing to grow, with its latest addition, J. Crew Mercantile. Expect the feel and quality you have come to know at J. Crew with the pricing structure of their factory stores, all in the convenient West End Shopping Center. (Location: 2910 W. Loop 289 #520)

Hilton Garden Inn
We previewed Hilton Garden Inn in June, but this is a place you’ll need to stay at to truly experience. The hotel features 113 upscale rooms with pristine amenities. Enjoy fine dining at The Garden Grille restaurant or an irresistible cocktail (may we recommend the Chilton?) at the Eight O’Six Lounge. (Location: 6027 45th St.)
