If you’re looking for a unique way to take on your favorite pie flavors, look no further than Lubbock’s famous Pie Bar. This favorite among citizens and visitors features mousse-style pie with flavors such as red velvet, chocolate, oreo, banana and many, many more! What’s even better is you get to choose how you receive your perfect pie! Options are piebite, pie flight, piefection, pietini and much more.
Speaking of pie, who says you can’t have it for breakfast or lunch? Thankfully, this is always an option at Cast Iron Grill. In fact, this Lubbock restaurant is known specifically for their mouthwatering pies made fresh each morning. You’ll have to come quick for the sweet treats, as they go fast and once they’re gone, you’ll have to wait until the next day. While there are tons of flavors to choose from, my personal favorites are the owner’s specialty: banana split pies. She offers them in blueberry, cherry or strawberry. (My stomach is already growling!)
3. Bahama Bucks
Cold, hot, snow, rain or shine, a bahama bucks shaved ice is an ideal sweet treat. You might even be inspired to take an island vacation! Bahama Bucks twists the industry of frozen desserts by offering a truly tropical experience. Try flavors such as…actually, there are 91 flavors, which would make this post a long one. See them all here. It all began right here in Lubbock 25 years ago, and now Bahama Bucks is in four states with countless locations.
Step into this quaint, and cozy, 50’s styles cafe for great food and delicious treats. Known for their wide variety of ice cream, Holly Hop’s has a variety of fun flavors, including all of the classics that many of us have grown to love. Like the colorful jukebox that plays old rock ‘n’ roll in the corner, one of our favorites is the timeless chocolate malt. Complete with whipped cream and a cherry on top, they’ll fill your parfait glass up to the very top. But that’s not all! You’ll receive the rest of the malt in a cold tin glass. It’s like getting two desserts for the price of one!
