Late Night Bites in Lubbock

As much as we may wish it would, hunger does not limit itself to a nine-to-five schedule. If you’ve been out on the town, are leaving the late night shift or just craving a midnight snack, it may be challenging to find good grub that isn’t fast food. We’ve compiled a list of a few local places that keep their kitchen open late.

Big E’s BBQ 

Located in the heart of the Depot District, Big E’s BBQ is the perfect place for a post-bar night snack. Though they only serve food on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, they make up for it by staying open until 4 a.m. every weekend. Swing by this incredible food stand. A brisket taco topped with their special sauce will not disappoint.

Jazz: A Louisiana Kitchen

Priding itself as being an “Authentic French Quarter Cafe,” Jazz encapsulates the tastes, sights and sounds of New Orleans. With crawfish, po’boys, gumbo and much more, their menu is a Cajun cuisine lover’s dream. The best part about Jazz? They’re open till 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday! So spend your whole night enjoying the atmosphere or stop in on your drive home. Either way, their food will satisfy your growling stomach.

Local Bar and Grill

As a main stop on “The Broadway Shuffle,” Local Bar and Grill provides fantastic food to pair with your Texas Tea. The menu offers everything from mac ‘n’ cheese bites to cowboy-inspired pizza. Though the bar is open until 2 a.m., the kitchen closes at 10 p.m., so get there a little early and beat the crowd. You won’t regret it once you dive into the “Big As Your Face Queso Nachos.”

Lubbock’s Breakfast House & Grill

Voted the Best Breakfast in Lubbock by “Best of the West” four years in a row, Lubbock’s Breakfast House & Grill serves up amazing home-cooked meals. Whether you’re craving an omelette, pancakes or even non-breakfast items, like chorizo quesadillas, you’ll be pleased with every plate. The only thing better than their extensive menu is that they’re open 24 hours on Friday and Saturday!

Raider Burrito

Raider Burrito is a Lubbock favorite that offers late night food every day of the week. Open until midnight Sunday-Wednesday and keeping their doors open until at least 3 a.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, you’ll be able to snag a barbacoa street taco at almost any hour!
