The local craft coffee industry is coming to you hot, or iced, in the “Hub City”. We have created a complete list for all of the caffeine junkies looking to visit a new café to visit or expand their order with a specialty drink. With an expansive repertoire of local coffee roasters and businesses, there is no shortage of creativity when it comes to what’s inside your mug. From seasonal flavors to gourmet pastries, Lubbock’s diverse coffee scene offers a shop for every personality and taste.

Tumbleweed & Sage | 610 Donald Preston Dr. Ste. A101, Wolfforth, TX
Using locally roasted coffee, Tumbleweed & Sage strives for quality and community. A great spot for those with a sweet tooth who are looking for delicious treats to indulge in with their favorite caffeinated drink. Be sure to order the Graveyard Latte which is made with dark chocolate and raspberry. My mouth is watering just thinking about it!

TOVA Coffeehouse | 6023 82nd St. #1
If your ideal morning kick-start is a creamy espresso, TOVA’s Traditional Cuban will have you hooked. The Cuban is traditionally served as a hot, eight-ounce espresso but at TOVA it can be ordered over ice. TOVA is a non-profit coffee shop with a passion for philanthropy in Lubbock. A great spot to meet a friend, study and listen to live music, this is a must-try in Lubbock’s coffee scene.

Bara Coffee and Pastry Shop | 4404 122nd St.
This charming shop is expert when it comes to all things specialty drinks and teas. With one look at the menu, it will be hard to pass on any of the pastries and cookies including homemade fruit pop-tarts and apple pies. Trust us when we say Bara has all of the pastries you need and more to pair with your favorite coffee or tea.

Monomyth Coffee | 2024 Broadway St.
A growing shop owned by two brothers, Monomyth Coffee is a popular hangout and study space for coffee lovers in Lubbock. With a beautiful interior inside a revitalized historic home on Broadway, guests will feel re-java-nated by the cool atmosphere and beautiful view. I recommend trying a Cold Brew Cola made with the Monomyth cold brew, Coca-Cola and a bourbon maple syrup for a unique, refreshing taste. Monomyth has recently started in-house roasting, making this a local hotspot that should be at the top of your list.

J&B Coffee | 2701 26th St
J&B Coffee is a classic option for Lubbock locals. Whether you’re a college student looking for an easy-going environment to prepare for finals or you’re looking to enjoy the inviting indoor and outdoor seating, J&B is a great option with a wide-ranging menu. Satisfy your sugar cravings with the Espresso Shake made with ice cream and espresso. You will not be disappointed!

Yellow House Coffee | 3017 34th St.
Yellow House Coffee creates classic drinks with an LBK twist. Made with freshly roasted specialty coffee, I highly encourage any early bird looking to enjoy a relaxing morning to visit. While there, try a Cortado and stop to take a pic by the Yellow House van!

He-Brews Coffee | 2709 Marshall St.
Drive out to a coffee shop that has it all! He-Brews Coffee is a Christian-based shop with a mission to inspire growth. Guests can enjoy indoor or outdoor seating, live music, and have the option of renting kayaks and paddle boards to take out on the lake. For a floral and sweet drink, try the Flower Bomb Latte, made with white chocolate and lavender.

Sugar Browns Coffee Co. | 6701 Indiana Ave Ste. A | The Lobby: 1500 Broadway St.
A popular café reimagined, Sugar Browns Coffee Co. has expanded not only its menu but also by adding multiple locations throughout the “Hub City”. Head downtown to the McDougal Companies Building and grab a craft coffee at The Lobby. For the chocolate lovers, try an iced mocha with vanilla bean added for a rich, candied drink. With natural light and great music, you won’t want to leave this downtown hotspot!

We also recommend visiting Sugar Browns’ new location off Indiana. While there, be sure to grab a box of coffee pods to brew at home.

Gold Stripe Coffee Roasters | 2610 Salem Ave. Ste. 5
What started as a mobile espresso bar, today Gold Stripe Coffee is located in one of Lubbock’s best-kept secrets – Cactus Alley. Thanks to Gold Stripe’s green supplier that allows them farm fresh coffee beans, this is a coffee coinsurer favorite as it offers freshly roasted beans. Enjoy an addictive nitro cold brew while sitting in the Cactus Alley courtyard.

Cardinal’s Coffee Bar | 6524 Slide Rd.
Located inside Cardinals, this is a great go-to for the adventurous at heart who might be wanting to branch out and try new flavors. Grab a savory breakfast bowl or pastry to pair with a coffee on the way to work in the morning or while shopping for new athletic gear! This coffee bar has an extensive selection of flavors and specialty drinks for both the experienced and beginner coffee drinker.
