This week, Lubbock’s fairgrounds will be full of families, friends, rides, music (fried) food and much more! We’re gearing up for the Panhandle South Plains Fair from Friday, Sept. 20 to Saturday, Sept. 28!

Panhandle South Plains Fair

Did you know that the first fair in Lubbock was held in the fall of 1914? In 1921, the Fair brought the first carnival to the city and the first livestock competitions. To learn more about the history of one of Lubbock’s favorite annual events, click here.Fair

Everyone looks forward to the live music the Panhandle South Plains Fair is known for. Can you believe that Elvis Presley once graced the stage at the fair in 1956? There have been hundreds of stars ever since. This year, gear up for big artists like Lee Brice and Brandy! Click here for the other headliners.

What’s the best part about the Panhandle South Plains Fair? I bet most would argue that it’s the food! When else will you get to enjoy mouthwatering selections including cheese on a stick, funnel cakes, cotton candy, turkey legs and much more?

Here are some quick links about this year’s fair:
