Battle of the Bands Finale

LHUCA’s West Texas Battle of the Bands is a competition that takes a single, original, track submission from bands consisting of two or more members of any genre. A panel of judges will select 8 semi-finalists to move into a public voting round during June First Friday Art Trail. The 4 top voted bands will move into Finals Round where they will perform a 15 minute public set. Judges will select the second and first place winners.

2023 Competition Dates

Song submission deadline is Monday, May 15th

Voting for top 4 finalists will take place during June 2nd FFAT

Finalists will perform 15 minute set on June 24th in the LHUCA Plaza

1st Place – 10 hours recording time and consultation at Amusement Park Recording Studios, a gig at The Blue Light Live, and a headlining performance at a First Friday Art Trail (paid, $500).

2nd Place – a headlining performance at a First Friday Art Trail (paid, $500).
