Brunch is more than a meal, it’s an experience, and a leisurely one at that. What better way to savor the weekend than unwinding with loved ones over a table full of mimosas and fusion dishes of sweet and savory origin?

In Lubbock, the brunch scene reflects the city’s diverse culinary landscape, offering everything from hearty smash burgers to Raspberry Rosè French Toast. Picture sun-drenched patios, the clinking of glasses and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the sizzle of bacon. If that doesn’t entice you to indulge in one of these local brunch spots, I don’t know what will!

Café J

Chicken Fried Steak & Eggs with green chile gravy… need I say more? Cafe J is “blending modern techniques with worldwide influences, an extensive wine selection, and original paintings.” If you’re not dropping by for an espresso martini in the evening, we highly recommend making a stop for an elevated brunch.

Claraboya Scratch Cocina & Bar

Every Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., something magical happens inside this downtown gem. And that something magical is brunch. Did you see the photo of the Carter’s Cinnamon Roll Burger? That’s just the tip of the iceberg. This Southwest-inspired kitchen also serves Duck Enchiladas, Chilaquiles Verdes, Mexican Short Rib Quesadillas and more.

The Co-Op Public House

The Co-Op is a spot where West Texas hospitality knows no end. Their sustainability efforts and onsite hydroponic garden mean you’re getting a true farm-to-table experience. The brunch menu is loaded with craft bites like the delectable Salmon Avocado Toast: grilled focaccia, honey smoked salmon, everything bagel seasoning, smashed avocado, an egg
any style, pickled onions and feta. P.S. The Mimosa Flight adds a nice touch to any dish.

El americano fresco

Brisket Hash & Eggs, Creme Brulee French Toast and Chicken & Waffles. Oh, and Fish & Chips made with the local Two Doc’s Beer-batter fresh cod. These are just a few staples on The Fresh American’s brunch menu. The boozy brunch cocktails and Bloody Mary’s are crowd favorites too! An oasis settled in South Lubbock, don’t miss your chance to be swept away with the curated design and menu of this eatery.

Neighborhood F&B

Elevated comfort food you would find at Grandma’s house. That’s the goal Neighborhood F&B had in mind when building this warm hangout. And to say they’ve executed it well would be an understatement. From a fried egg topped smash burger to deep fried lasagna and deviled eggs, brunch was made for weekends at the Neighborhood.

La Taberna Culinaria de la Reserva

Pizza for breakfast? Yes, please! Waffle Batter Fried Bacon? Order up! The Hangover Loaded Tots? Say no more! Brunch is served at The Reserve. Save us a seat at the table! But, seriously, this spot has great cocktails, a lively atmosphere and a menu that suits everyone’s taste. Give it a try.

Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

It might be a chain, but that doesn’t mean it’s undeserving of a spot on our brunch list. At Snooze, you can brunch any day of the week. And, lucky for us, they just announced weekday reservations. From pancake flights to build your own breakfast burritos and Sriracha maple bacon, there’s nothing not to love about the menu offerings.

de stella

There’s always something new on the brunch menu of the month at Stella’s, which means even if you’ve been, there’s no reason not to make another reservation. Established in 1973, this Italian-inspired restaurant is doing fine-dining right. Be sure to check their website out to see what specialties they’re serving this month.
