Celebrate Lubbock’s craft through a variety of mediums by attending the Uncorked Festival and Lubbock Arts Festival, singing along at the Escondido Canyon Roots Festival at Spirit Ranch or running in the Mayor’s Marathon.

Whether you choose to relish in the local talent, savor the extravagant wines, cheer on marathon runners or all of the above, we have created the perfect itinerary for you to experience this epic weekend in the “Hub City”.

Kick-off this weekend the Lubbock way at the annual Uncorked Festival! Located at the American Windmill Museum, attendees can sip on their favorite Texas High Plains wine while enjoying live music and local food trucks! This event goes from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. and admission is free!

After an afternoon sipping wine, head over to the Spirit Ranch for the Escondido Canyon Roots Festival. Hosted by the Cactus Theater, this new outdoor festival will showcase a variety of artists on multiple stages spread throughout the ranch grounds. Day shows begin at noon and evening performance will begin at 5:30 p.m. We know you will work up an appetite from all the dancing, so check out the local food trucks and drinks between sets! They will even have family-friendly activities for the kiddos including bounce houses, animal attractions and games. Tickets start at $20. You won’t want to miss this!

Whether you are planning to come to the city to run the Mayor’s Marathon or for a festival weekend getaway, make your way downtown to the Buddy Holly Center Sunday morning for the annual Mayor’s Marathon. Cheer on the runners as they near the finish line, or take on the challenge yourself! The race begins at 7:10 a.m. at the Buddy Holly Center and will end there as well. As the race finishes, live music and food trucks will be awaiting the hungry athletes and their cheerleaders. To register for the Mayor’s Marathon, click here.
