Stars and Stripes Drive-In Theatre
Lubbock’s Stars and Stripes Drive-In proves that you don’t have to break the bank for a fun night out. For less than $20, you can see not one, but two feature films. Ladies, leave the purse at home because you won’t need it to stash away your collection of goodies. Outside food and drinks are permitted. Just sit back and enjoy the show.
First Friday Art Trail
Held the First Friday of every month, the fun begins at the Louise Hopkins Underwood Center of Arts (LHUCA). The event is held from 6-9 p.m., but there’s no official start time. Short on cash? Everything is free including the trolleys that will whisk you away to the various galleries and exhibits. But if you must pay, bring a few bucks to pair your glass of wine with your new taste in art.
Candlelight at the Ranch
It’s never too early to start planning for Christmas. Take your sweetie on a romantic stroll through the candlelit path of Christmas spirit. The Ranch takes you back to the 18th and 19th centuries with yuletide celebration, pioneer style.
Local Wine Tours
Did you know Lubbock is home to five award-winning wineries?
Throughout the year, many of the local wineries offer various events, tours and tastings on their property. Some of our favorites include McPherson Cellars, which is located in the old Coca Cola warehouse in the heart of Lubbock. If you don’t mind a short drive, CapRock Winery offers picturesque views at sunset, as well as fun events like comedy night.
West Crust Pizza
Nothing says romance like staring into each other’s eyes over their artisan style pizzas that will keep the conversation going long into the night. If it’s your first date, say no to the garlic. You’ll thank us later.
