Cowboy poetry, you ask? It’s not quite Dr. Suess, Robert Frost or Shel Silverstein. The beauty of cowboy poetry is that you don’t need to know about iambic pentameter or carry a thesaurus in your pocket. All you need to do is listen. And if there is anyone you want to listen to it will be Mike Querner.

Querner grew fond of poetry as a child and began writing more than 25 years ago. Today, Querner can be seen reciting his poetry across the country at various events, but luckily for you, he’ll be right here in Lubbock for the 25th Annual National Cowboy Symposium and Celebration.
