Not only will you be able to enjoy the pink and white orchard full of 6,000 trees featuring 48 different varieties of apples, but food will be provided all day (fresh apple pancakes and sausage–yum!) and there will be hay rides for families to enjoy. An additional activity for this year is a pruning seminar for those learning to prune their own apple trees ($20 for the seminar). Yes, you can purchase and pick up your own apple trees — or pear, plum and nectarine trees — from Apple Country.
All attendees at the celebration are asked to donate $5, which is given to Meals on Wheels, an organization close to the Brints’ heart.
“I love being out in the trees and enjoying the view and smells of the new blossoms. Each year the celebration brings out the hope of a new crop and the happiness of the spring season.”
