Lubbock may be the officially unofficial birthplace of the Chilton, but we have plenty of other signature drinks that will have you raising your glass. From hearty brews to classics with a twist, here are a few “Hub City” favorites worth toasting.

Gran Torino Margarita
Chimy’s Cerveceria

Top-shelf tequila makes this one legendary mega-margarita. Pair it with a fabulous outdoor patio and a great location, and Chimy’s, located at 2417 Broadway, is the place to be.

Texas Tea
Local Bar and Grill

Take a stiff sip of the South with this earthy classic. Aptly named, this venue is located across from Texas Tech at 2420 Broadway.

La Diosa Cellars

You truly haven’t lived until you’ve ordered a pitcher of sangria at La Diosa Cellars, located at 901 17th St. Pair it with an order of your favorite tapas and you can’t ever go wrong.

Café J

This simple, yet incredibly refreshing cocktail originated right here in the “Hub City.” Blend lemon juice, vodka and soda water to create a drink that is truly a West Texas classic, or have a delicious one served up to you at Café, located at 2605 19th St.

Brewed In-House Beers
Triple J Chophouse & Brew Co.

No matter the ale-ment, there’s a pint of perfection waiting just for you at Triple J Chophouse & Brew Co., located at 1807 Buddy Holly Ave. With a selection for every season, there is always something new to sample and claim as your favorite.

Orange Mule
Timeless Café & Cocktails

This newcomer to the Lubbock restaurant scene, located at 6015 82nd St., is known for their signature cocktails. Our favorite? The Orange Mule, a blend of reyka, blood orange liqueur, fresh lime, ginger beer and garnished with an orange slice.
