Check out the list below for ten of the biggest events happening this autumn.
At’l Do Farms
Head out to At’l Do Farms for a classic way to kick off the fall season. This family friendly farm is picture-perfect featuring attractions like the corn cannon, cow train, hayride pumpkin patch, pumpkin hollow, barnyard and corn maze.
Panhandle-South Plains Fairgrounds
The South Plains Fair is a fall staple in the LBK. Cotton candy, funnel cakes and fried everything is calling your name. Enjoy exhilarating attractions like the enterprise or a romantic ride on the ferris wheel. Pet all the animals at the petting zoo or browse the vendor pop-ups for a cool souvenir. No matter what you do, fun and excitement are sure to follow.
Cook’s Garage
Cook’s Garage is a retro-themed concert venue, restaurant and bar with neon signs and vintage cars throughout the indoor and outdoor spaces. Purchase your tickets today to rock out to gold track certified country singer Cody Johnson and special guests Randy Houser and Ned LeDoux.
The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences | Helen Devitt Jones Theater
Laugh along with famous actor and comedian Kevin James at Lubbock’s word-class theater, The Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences. James, best known for his role as Doug Heffernan on The King of Queens and as Paul Blart in the movie Paul Blart: Mall Cop, is currently on his “Stand Up” tour, all the while continuing to act in numerous shows and movies.
Cook’s Garage
Get your guns up and boots on for the Texas Tech Rodeo at Cook’s garage. Get lost in this retro themed venue and watch as cowgirls and cowboys compete for the grand prize.
LCU McDonald Moody Auditorium
This family friendly musical, set during the civil war, is based on the American novel by Louisa May Alcott. Listen to the story of Jo March and her sisters while enjoying the beautiful music at the LCU McDonald Moody Auditorium.
The Llano Estacado Winery
Celebrate the end of harvest season with the Llano Estacado Winery as they commemorate 46 years of Texas winemaking with their annual Grape Day event. Grape Day, the largest festival held at the winery, is a celebration of the conclusion of the grape crush, which continues from late July to early October. Guests are offered an immersive experience as they enjoy self-guided tours, local vendors, art booths, food and local live music. There are even bounce houses for the kids! Over two-dozen Llano wines are available with the purchase of wine tickets.
Canyon Lake 6
Spooky season is upon us and what better way to get into the spirit other than with your furry friends. This event has two distance options: 2K9 or 4 miles without a leash. The 2K9, or 1.2 miles, is a family-friendly course that will take you along Canyon Lake 6 while the more challenging four mile course will take you through the City of Lubbock Cemetery to pay tribute to Buddy Holly and conclude with a loop around Canyon Lake 6. Dog supplies will also be collected and donated to Morris Safe House to help animals in need.
