Lake Alan Henry is a reservoir built by the City of Lubbock that provides an outstanding recreational area for people to enjoy fishing, skiing, hunting and other outdoor activities. Camp on primitive sites overlooking the lake, and hike its rugged trails. Fishermen will enjoy one of the premier bass fishing lakes in Texas, and hunters can participate in hunting opportunities throughout the year. Situated on the South Fork of the Double Mountains Fork of the Brazos River, the lake extends 11 miles between the rocky sides of the river channel and has 56 miles of shoreline.
